Before moving to Mercado do Bolhão in 1985, Tereza worked for a bag manufacturing factory in Gondomar. At the time, the stall, which is now hers, belonged to her elder sister. It was only a few years later that Tereza took over the leadership of the business, which she maintains to this day.
