Teresa Costa is 65 years old, and has been working in Bolhão since she was 19.

Her mother supplied frozen fish to the fishmongers in the market and, at that time, one of her customers wanted to dispose of her stall. With her mother's encouragement, Teresa and her sister, Conceição, gave up studying and took over the stall that had remained free, and which, at that time, already sold frozen fish and seafood. A year later, Teresa's sister left Bolhão.

Forty-six years later, Teresa still has her stall in the historic market of Porto, which is much sought after by old, loyal customers.
